How skills are moderated

Last updated: May 2026

Publication

A skill may be listed when it has a clear use case, a verifiable source, legal and useful content, and a page that can be understood by users of AI coding tools.

Refusal or removal

  • malware, phishing, data theft or security bypass;
  • requests for secrets without legitimate context;
  • dangerous instructions without appropriate framing;
  • hateful, illegal, misleading or spam content;
  • skills with no real connection to AI coding tools;
  • clear copyright, license or trademark issues.

Manual review

A skill may be reviewed manually when its category is ambiguous, when its content requires translation or rewriting, when the license is unclear, or when the instructions request sensitive permissions.

Reporting

To report a problematic skill, use the removal link on the skill page or via our contact page.
