  • Trending products in category
  • Comment sections for feature requests
  • "Needs" discussions
  • Low-upvote launches with interesting ideas
  1. Reddit
  • r/SaaS, r/startups, r/Entrepreneur, r/SideProject, r/indiehackers
  • Niche subreddits for target market
  • Search: "I wish there was", "why isn't there", "frustrated with"
  1. Hacker News (news.ycombinator.com)
  • Show HN posts and feedback
  • "Ask HN: What tools do you wish existed?"
  • Comments on competitor launches
  1. Twitter/X
  • "someone should build" tweets
  • Complaints about existing tools
  • Feature request threads
  1. G2/Capterra Reviews
  • 1-3 star reviews (pain points)
  • "Missing features" mentions
  • Comparison complaints

Process

  1. Define problem space from arguments
  2. Search each source for pain points
  3. Cluster similar complaints
  4. Rank by frequency and intensity
  5. Output structured opportunities

  • Gap: [what's missing that people actually want]
  • Opportunity: [potential product/feature to build]
